At the 482 Collective, we specialize in responding to the changing needs of our clients and donors. This year, when many women's/service organizations have chosen to pracise selective activism and have turned their backs on the Jewish community, we have responded by creating The RISE Program*—designed to raise awareness and deliver essential items to Jewish families who have fled violence and are struggling to make ends meet. The program is also set up to support local Holocaust survivors who are living below the poverty line and struggling with food insecurity.
We offer essential items from the following categories, depending on stock available: Home essentials, kitchen tools, personal hygiene products, diapers and other infant items, toys and school supplies, cleaning supplies, very basic food staples. Please note: we do not keep specifically kosher food in our inventory. Please note: We do not provide baby food, pet food, clothing or furniture.
By working alongside existing programs in the Jewish community, RISE providestemporary relief to individuals and families in need while helping other organizations currently facing unprecedented demands for services to the Jewish community. This program is funded through donations made directly to the RISE program.CLICK HERE to donate to the RISE program and support these families now.
