The 482 Collective has a Working Board. Directors must:
be able to look at community and women’s issues broadly
have demonstrated leadership in their respective fields, and will bring their drive and mindset to advancing the mission of the 482 Collective
have experience in a specific background (ie. legal, financial etc.) or fundraising experience (corporate partnerships, donor acquisition, access to networks)
Fundraising Director responsibilities include:
Commit to 1 year volunteer position
Attend 6 Board meetings per year - on the last Thursday evening of every other month
Actively participate and contribute skills and knowledge in meetings and committee work
Prepare for meetings by reading agendas, minutes, and other documentation required for active participation
Engage your personal and professional networks in an effort to support the charity
Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
Participate in planning events such as galas, auctions, telethons, etc. to ensure that they are executed smoothly; sell tickets to events
Must be willing to reach out and ask for: Major and minor corporate/business gifts, funding from foundations, Major and smaller individual gifts
Vote on Board matters
Help ensure the long term financial stability and fiscal responsibility of the organization
Secure 30k or more in monetary donations
Participate in fundraising event planning and recruit relevant committee members
Serve as an ambassador for the charity
Always ready to deliver a targeted pitch that highlights the organization's mission, impact, and paths for growth
Keep Board succession planning in mind – think about the strengths you bring to the Board and who you would recommend as a replacement when your term eventually comes to an end
Qualifications:
Reliable, competent, and trustworthy
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Possess analytical and logical reasoning skills
Demonstrate deep understanding of fundraising gained through professional experience
Able to share your network and fundraise on behalf of the 482 Collective
Skilled at engaging in matters that require sensitivity and empathy across diverse communities
SAGE Professionals Number of positions available: many

Successful candidates must be:
independently licensed and insured; able to provide a valid certificate of insurance
successfully complete a vulnerable sector screening police check
Delivery Drivers Number of positions available: 2-4
Description: Volunteer drivers play a crucial role in picking up essential items from our warehouse and delivering them directly to abuse survivor clients. This is an important position suitable for adult women who want to make a difference in their community. Deliveries mainly take place throughout the GTA and York Region. Occasionally, drivers may be asked to travel to further locations such as Halton, Peel and Durham Region.
Applicants must:
have a well-maintained vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
complete a successful Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check.
have access to a cell phone and GPS for mapping routes
be comfortable driving to police stations as needed
Pick up location: Concord, ON Delivery Days: Wednesdays and/or Fridays Commitment: The number of hours will range from 3-5 hours per week or more, depending on your availability
